Pornography still continues through Xtube

The long battle against pornography turned out to be unrealized as the illicit activities continue to spread with the use of technology advancements such as mobile phones and the internet. A new community website called Xtube is now patronized by millions all over the world. With the phenomenal success of YouTube offering personal videos broadcasted through the internet, Xtube became the prime source of sharing pornographic photos and videos online.

Internet technology aggravated the production and distribution of pornographic materials with a simple "upload-download" system. These smuts can be easily accessed in any internet cafes after logging in (a user must be of legal age and shall state this first during registration) and pornographic materials will come on way in different topics and choices.

Xtube is now the prime community source in spreading porn.

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla earlier filed Senate Bill No. 12 or the "Anti Pornography Act" which aims to slap stiffer penalties against those who publish, broadcast and exhibit pornographic materials through the use of traditional media, the internet, the "cyberspace" cellular phones and other forms of media.

Under SB 12, any person who shall cause the publication, broadcast, exhibition or selling of pornographic materials shall be punished with 12 to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of not less than two hundred fifty thousand pesos. Any person who helps in the commission of the crime will face 12 year imprisonment and fine of not less than one hundred thousand pesos.
