Marimar turns into a childish diva

It has been more than a month that the Philippine version of Marimar aired in primetime through GMA Network and surprisingly, the show was not quite as exciting as the original Mexican version aired by RPN in 1996. Though the publicity of the show was juicy and addictive, the show recreated itself to what the producer and director say as Filipino flavored telenovela which tripped to a little substandard quality.

Marian Rivera plays Marimar in its Philippine version and you will definitely agree that she deserves the role upon seeing her audition videos. Tagged as the next big star, Marian simply enchanted her audiences with a new redefined look. Much to a surprise, her role was edible at first episodes. She definitely gave a great shot through her acting as a young and innocent Marimar but the voice was noticeably a copycat of the dubbed version. Her voice transformed into a five-year-old girl in the later episodes. It was fun to watch at first but it turned Marimar as a special child and not as an innocent teenager. Marimar maybe uneducated but it doesn’t follow that she can be childish as she grows up. Maybe it’s the new way of presenting Marimar in the Philippines.

Thalia portrayed the role smoothly and elegantly (thanks for the help of the voice talents). The transformation of Marimar from an innocent girl to a rebellious lady is explained clearly with less talk. The intentions are clear that Marimar wanted to be a new person upon facing the world as Bella.

Of course, Filipinos can’t get enough of Marimar. With these observations, the audience will still hook up in front of their television sets craving for more. Adding to the list telenovela addictives, the series will still be the talk of the town. The new flavors of Marimar in the Philippines will again mark a history in primetime viewing and bring a legacy. Well, once there was Thalia and then here is Marian Rivera that captured our eyes for the only one Marimar.
