Give way to Beyoncé
R&B diva Beyoncé Knowles is set to perform a live concert tonight at The Fort in Taguig City. This one night engagement called “The Beyoncé Experience: Live in Taguig 2007” will be staged at the Global City open field. The concert is presented by Globe and MTV Philippines.
The former Destiny’s Child lead arrived in Manila Tuesday afternoon at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on board a private jet from Shanghai, China. Beyoncé, in Manila past 2 pm, waved and smiled at members of the press who have been waiting for her arrival at the Airport. With her were 10-piece, all-female touring band, dancers and security — a total of some 70 personnel.

The 26-year-old diva-superstar is a former member of one of the world’s best-selling female group of all time, Destiny’s Child. Her phenomenal solo career boomed after the release of her debut album Dangerously in Love giving smash hits such as Crazy in Love and Baby Boy. Recently, her popular songs include “Irreplaceable,” “Beautiful Liar” and “Déjà vu” from her second album called B’Day. This album also includes the hit ballad Listen which is a song included in the soundtrack of the movie Dreamgirls wherein she played the role of Deena Jones of the singing group The Dreams.
